In this workshop, Sheila Heti, one of Canada’s most distinctive literary voices, will teach you how to anchor your writing in what you know, see and think, in your genuine questions and insights, and in a refreshing, personal style that develops from that.

Through writing exercises, discussion and examples, you will learn how to avoid sounding “writerly” and imitating literary forms that aren’t representative of your own experiences or feelings.

This workshop will be useful for anyone writing fiction, nonfiction or memoir.
